Top 5 Wednesday: Books As Event Themes

Welcome to another installment of Top 5 Wednesday! This week's topic is which Top 5 books I think would make good themes for events such as a wedding, prom, etc.

This is a hard one because I feel like there are several books that would be good event themes. But I think I have been able to narrow it down to five books/series:

5. Anything by Jane Austen

A Jane Austen themed wedding or party would be fun because everyone could dress in Regency costumes, or not even whole costumes but mainly accessories. I think there is a lot that can be done with this theme, even something as simple as a tea party!

4.  Caraval by Stephanie Garber

Besides the whole kidnapping thing and magical element in this book, it could be a good theme for a scavenger hunt at a party, especially if people get into dressing up in fantasy costumes.

3. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

This could be a cool event because people could dress up as their favorite characters or court from the series.

2. The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

I think this would be a good theme for a costume party because people can dress up as version of their fairy tale characters, and not necessarily just the main characters in the book. I feel like there is a lot that people can do with this and some would be very simple such as if anyone wanted to dress up as Scarlet they just need to wear jeans and a red hoodie.

1. The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien

This would be an awesome theme because you don't necessarily dress up as characters but you could make food inspired by the books/movies and serve it to people. Plus the decorations would be pretty cool!

That is it for this installment of Top 5 Wednesday, let me know what are some books you think would make good event themes down in the comments.

Happy Reading,
